Comedy Masala 52 with GB Labrador
GB Labrador @Masala 52 from AC Mangilin on Vimeo.
Here is the set of GB Labrador, one of the hilarious members of the Comedy Cartel, ripping it up at Comedy Masala in Home Club, Riverwalk, Singapore.
Laugh for Literacy
Pinoy Comedians Regie Cabico, Jamaal Sedayao, Pete Isip, Air Tabigue, Kevin Camia and Kevin join forces to perform in NYC to help increase literacy for children in the Philippines. See this is what I’m talking about. Laughing at those damn kids who can’t read. Fun and for a good cause.
Louis CK Honors George Carlin
This is an inspirational video for wannabe comedians or old comedians who are in a depressing stump. Hope it helps.
John Dore Standup
Hey guys, I found this stand up guy hilarious. He kind of reminds me of Dane Cook, who I’m not really a fan of, except John to me is funnier. But that’s just my opinion. What do you think?
Noynoy on Comedy Bar

Sorry I couldn’t get an embedded video on this one. But the link works.
Noel Gascon, a member of the Filipino stand up comedy group Comedy Cartel, hits Allan K’s Comedy Bar once again, but this time he is Noynoy with his 2 bodyguards who kinda look familiar. That wouldn’t be GB Labrador and Richie Fernandez, would it? I mean Noynoy would have the budget to at least hire character bodyguards for this performance right? Anyway, I hope you enjoy this bit. I found it too short. He should make another appearance on that show.
Heard of Nikki Limo?
WARNING: ADULT LANGUAGE USED IN THIS CLIP
I was surfing around Youtube when I found this video of a female comedienne by the name of Nikki Limo. I’m not sure but I think she is half Filipina. Have you heard of her? Apparently she made a cameo on the new 90210 series. I watched this clip of hers and she’s not bad. Of course, it helps that she’s good looking. I would make a guess that she’s probably been doing stand up for 2 to 3 years, judging from the level of her performance. She reminds me a lot of Olivia Munn of the Attack of the Show.
Anyway, good for Nikki. I hope she attains more success. Tell me what you think. Her set is a bit raunchy, though. You’ve been warned.
Comedy Cartel Goes Back to 19 East
This is great news for people living in the South, namely Paranaque, Alabang, etc. The Comedy Cartel guys are performing again at 19 East on March 19, 2011. I can’ wait to see these guys again at probably the best venue of point-of-view stand up.
Since the last time I saw these guys, a lot of milestones have happened. Alex Calleja has his own TV show now called Usapang Lalake on Studio 23. Tim Tayag became the Dove Man. Noel Gascon landed his national commercial with Liver Aid and no, he is not playing the coffee. Noel, Richie Fernandez, and GB Labrador made their debut on Bubble Gang. I guess they’re either selling out or cashing it in. Eri Neeman was featured on Comedy Bar on GMA 7. Tim Tayag, Red Ollero, and Victor Anastacio were featured on 24Oras and I heard they were also on some other shows like Manalotto or something like that.
Try and catch them soon and you’ll see what I mean.
Comedy Cartel Hits The Establishment
If you like smart, mostly English, point-of-view Filipino standup comedy, then check these guys out. Watch the trailer.
Pinoy Comedian Raffy Taruc
One of the promising stars in the Pinoy comedy circuit is a young man by the name of Raffy Taruc. Nicknamed “the Huk”, not because his grandfather was part of the hukbalahap (a group of rebels that fought the Japanese occupiers) but rather because his penis is shaped like a hook, Raffy’s deadpan style and rhythm is bound to have you in stitches once you open your mind and throw away your judgement. Watch him regularly perform with the Comedy Cartel in Spicy Fingers, Greenbelt 2, Makati, Philippines every Monday night.
Kevin Camia
Kevin Camia is one of the fastest rising stars in the comedy scene. I’ve known this guy for quite a while and he’s the real deal. He’s good friends with Allan Manalo and Tim Tayag. He’s one of the best writers out there in the circuit and he can do Filipino audiences and mixed audiences as well. This video is just a snippet of this guy’s awesome skills on stage. I hope you enjoy him.
